I agree with GPW. I made my model when I was still thinking of building in the conventional manner but it did confirm for me that this was a viable concept and the spatial arrangement would be just fine. In fact, I didn't put the galley or front storage in the model but felt comfortable enough with the concept that I knew it would work. 1"= 1' worked great as a scale for me. If in doubt, build it in scale. I keep my model at hand so I can pick it up and think about things as I'm doing the actual build. I've changed the profile a bit and the materials are now full scale foam (1/4" foam art board wouldn't cut it in real life.) but it helps me visualize the pieces going together.

Eagle: No actually that is the name of the ad hoc/rag tag RC flyers my wife lets me hang out with once in a while. It is a name I came up with as a joke. We boost that we are the only town in the USA which has its own "Air Force"
GPW: When it gets 20 below Zero (Air Temp) around them here woods I will be in my workshop building. Else there is nothing to do but go crazy when day light starts at 8 AM and ends around 3:45 PM. I used to hear about a place called "wher the sun dont shine" Now I am living in it...Minnesota.
Of course I tell the wife any hobby "making things" is better than hanging out with the "fools" at the corner bar.
Sometimes “scale“ modeling can get outta’ hand with the details ...
Actually quite impressive. My neighbor and I were discussing this the other day as he was building a RC boat. It just seems to be an addiction. He's built his house, a couple of kayaks, a dory, the most awesome playhouse I have ever seen, an art car for "Burning Man" a rock crawler race car and now an RC boat and who knows what else. I don't think I have the disease as bad as he does, but sometimes all you want to do is build stuff. I tell people my hobby is "building stuff"
