We built for a few hours... got all sticky from the gorilla glue... couldn't touch the camera...

But I'll catch up in the morning for you guys...

Side note: Chell is testing the best way to reattach the edges of the canvas to the foam. We'll let you know that tomorrow too!

Glad to see you're making progress Mike. I want you to stay ahead of me cuz I'd rather be the follower than the leader in this case. :R  :R

Actually, I read all your posts very carefully. I figure this is your third build, mine is my first and though everyone is new to foam you have much more knowledge than I do.  Keep up the great work. Thanks for taking the time to document your build for us newbs. :applause:

holy cow mike, that looks fantastic. :applause:

i see you are using wood spars. we did also. i also see you are using lots of duct tape. you can also drill thru the foam right into the wood spars. we did that with excellent results. never had to tape that roof down.

i can't help with the home made window problems. as i never did mine the way i wanted to.
i was going to cut from the inside a lip to put the window.
so i will be watching you on this one to learn from. however it seems you are using a wood frame. i am not going to use the wood frame. but i still will beable to pick up info from you.

and i agree with gorilla glue and tb2 does not go well with camera's.

May the foam be with you.

Mike
The awning type window that are hinged at the top and push out at the bottom would probably be the easiest to make and seal. I've seen them in houses with a rod at the bottom to open them so them can have a permanent screen.

Clliff,

I've not been keeping track. Is it too late to start?

GPW,

Do you have a picture of it installed, and in particular, the latch that keeps it closed while you are driving?

Thanks,

Mike...

P.S. Are the hinges on the outside? Got a pic of that?
