Using poly-u, you could probably make your walls and floor coverings out of just about anything. I saw a table top at a local restaurant a while back that was a 1x1 frame filled with sea shells and poly-u. A very cool look. It was filled with enough to make the surface smooth.

Rice paper works too. And I wonder if the #4 base would work as a finish? Since it tries clear, it would let the designs shine througn. Hmmmm.

i would never do this method on a wall, unless that wall was laying flat!
now i think i am going to run out of my stash of paper. well this particular paper, so i ordered 2 more packs. i'll need it anyway for the second part of the floor anyway(if i have any left over).
this process i am doing is very time consuming. the cardstock is thick, canvas cardstock. so i first have to rip it, then wrinkled the crap out of it(which is killing my hands, since its so thick). then i have to sand it by hand to get the cool lines with color showing thru.

All of the work, blood sweat and tears will be worth it in the end. You will have a custom feature that you should be very proud of.

Make it your own and wear it with pride!

OMGosh Eagle!! That floor is AWESOME!!! Great job   :applause: :applause:

Oh.. dogs and cats and sticky stuff. Yup. I should tell you the time I was using epoxy and old Ratkity stuck herself to the paper I was using to mix it on and walked away with said stuck paper. It involved throwing the cat with all pointy ends exposed under water to wash off the nasty stuff and then a trip to the vet for more ungluing of her fur.

Hugs,
Ratkity

That is one very impressive looking floor!  I won't have too much floor showing under the queen bed so it's probably not worth the effort, but even if I had to finish the floor, I doubt that I would try something that artistic. My skills are more of the home remodeling nature. I'd probably use some tile maybe some wood plank flooring. Something I know I wouldn't screw up! Great Job!
