now i am not sure, but isn't there a hall of fame at the top of the page? can't you just add your build to that? i am perfectly happy with my pic not being shown. there are others out there that look much better than mine and would be better on the eyes. if a newbie saw mine first they would turn and run away. :D

not having much time right now for fussing with computer things. its that time of year to get out side and not stay sittin in front of this screen. garndening, yardwork, pool time, play time, camping time. all these things takes the head of the list. i am on here in the mornings, to check up and see if something has to be done, and i check thru out the day. but i am not on here as much during this season. even my scrapbooking is taking a back seat now to the pool time.

pete, simba is a big ole coward and he hates the water. there was a slight embankment that runs down to the water. well i guess he lost his footing and was falling into the water when he put the brakes on. his paw got cut on something in the water. i think if he had just jumped in he would have been fine, but nope, putting the brakes on and sliding down sliced his paw. i don't think it bothered him as much as me. there was lots of blood, and that is how i even realized it at first. the blood was pouring like a head wound. ick
so i made him rest most of the day and he is fine.

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer we made one trip last week gone 5 days and spent $1200
gas, motels, sightseeing, parking, and of course food.
I paid $22 a day just to park the truck thats more than I like to pay to camp.

I might have more time to enjoy the summer soon.

Might be unemployed by the end of the day.

Won't have the money to enjoy the summer.

oh randy, i hope that doesn't happen!

pete, its ok, i am sure he is used to it now. i have come to calling it the lassie symdrome. the dog portraying lassie was/is a male, but on the shows/movies they call him a she. so even i for months called him a her. even the vet calls him a her. LOL no matter he/she simba is still a coward.

i am running late on getting the rest of my veggies in the ground. i still have more lettuce, corn, squash and more tomatoes to plant. i want/need longer springs and summers.

I have the same gender issue in my house. My wife's 7# toy poodle is a boy. I call it "her" all the time. I don't do it intentionally, it just comes out of my mouth that way. Any dog that annoying could not possibly be thought of as male. Our beagle/lab/pit bull (find me a pound dog that doesn't have a bit of pit bull) is a female, but she is the protector. I'm always referring to her as him. Sweet, loving dog to those who know her. She just acts like a male dog. Tyoe A, leader of the pack. She is 7 years old, and missing both her canine teeth (she had a rough life before we adopted her last year) but don't mess with her. She doesn't back down.

I think that I have hit the dreaded mental wall. I made measurement mistakes, kept rethinking the process, reworked a couple things and in the long run got very little done today. :( :( :( Depending on when I get the next chance to work on the Road Foamie, I may go do something else for the day... I think it's time to give the brain a day off. :? :? :? I've been pushing hard to get a lot done in a hurry 'cuz I really want to go camping in the Road Foamie soon. In this case, I think "Haste makes waste". Time for a beer or two    BUGGERS!! :x :x

While building the tear, my rule was if a made a big mistake, it was time to quite. As much time as some of us spend on the project, a day or two will not matter. Besides it gives you time to think and plan your next steps, so you don't make mistakes.

I agree. I stop when I start rushing. I took an entire day off from all the stuff needing done and the next morning my perspective was much better.

With all the chaotic/exotic things going on around here, every project has “it’s Time” , and sometimes it takes a while to get back to the Foamie ... Timeshare!!! Difficult planning this out ... We just work on one thing at a time till it comes to a stopping place ...then move on to the next to do the same ... all the while , it looks like I’m not getting Anything accomplished... ( a time when the wife usually interjects her “list” ) Then all of a sudden ,everything gets done at once ... :o Crazy init ? :NC

Ps. being Old , sometimes it takes a long while to get back to one project, so I have to make a “list” to remind myself what I was supposed to do when I got back to it ... :?

I can see how that could be useful. I forgot from one evening to the next morning....part of the frustration I face. I had decided to line the interior foam walls of the "beverage center" with canvas and paint. I figured it would hold up well, look good and save me a bit of money for new materials since I have plenty of canvas and paint. When I got back to working on the Road Foamie the next day, I went and glued up a piece of lauan to the interior wall. Question now is do I go back, recut the wall, and face it with canvas or go buy another piece of lauan to finish the rest of the "beverage compartment"? That's when I decided it was time for beers and an extended break. (after I was done cursing and swearing) :grouch day1: :disappointed: Thought about mixing and matching the panels but that just doesn't sit well with my symmetrical mind. To add to my pleasant mood, guess what??? :snow :snow :snow Yup, it's snowing!!  Oh well.  I will figure out my dilemma some day this week and get to it on Friday. I have to work on Saturday and my son's graduation week starts Sunday with the baccalaureate plus our friends are throwing a "pre-graduation week" party for the parents of the graduates. Won't get much done this weekend and won't have time to obsess about it so that should be good for the brain.

Base is 4 x 8 and bed platform flares to 5 ft right about height of pickup bed walls. It will drop in and fit all full size trucks. Shorter beds leave tailgate down and long beds can leave tailgate down or remove it. 30" of headroom above the bed platform.
