Any hints for putting one of these together ?... The 1100lb. Anything to be aware of ??? Only suggestions I can recall is to use Nylok locking nuts and re-pack the bearings immediately before use ...

did you get it already this morning? but from putting our together the only advise i have is to not only read the instructions, but also look at the pics.
hubby tried going on just the guy thing, without reading or looking. but eventually he started to read, but reading alone did not work. so do both, read and look.

good luck!

Sorry HF has been giving you the run-around! Hopefully you can build soon!

I just put together my second 1720lb model, but its all the same. It should come with Nyloc nuts. When you are tightening the bolts, just be sure to take diagonal measurements to make sure the frame is "square". Theres a little slop in the bolt holes to allow for tweaking it.

Also, if you haven't already thought about doing the tongue extension modification, I'd highly recommend it. Makes a tremendous difference when backing up. Its also A LOT easier to do before the teardrop is built.

And definitely clean out the bearings and use a good grease. I use Valvoline Dura-blend and it seems to work great. No bearing problems so far, and I got a lot of use out of my last trailer.

GPW, I don't mean to dampen your enthusiasm, but I'll believe it when I see your post on Tuesday with pictures as evidence. Seeing as I live in Nevada, I'll give you 5:2 odds against that trailer showing up. 8)

 me thinks i smell a pessimist amongst ourselves.
i bet you where one of those non-believers in the foamie too huh?

Well... ummmm, at first. But having lived in Nevada for the past 13 years, I've learned lots about the subject of probability and odds. Right now, odds are improving in favor, but I wouldn't bet the mortgage on it. 8) Just Sayin!! BTW, I do hope it shows up! Just show me the pics!

I'll cross mine for you GPW.

Luckily I don't have to mess with Harbor Freight trailers. I just build what I want. Largest trailer I have built hauled 10+ tons and the bed tilted back to drive on equipment. So I am not scared to build a TD trailer.

Wolf , Fabricating a trailer is certainly within the realm of possibility ... Got a good steel supplier locally , that I’ve worked with in the past ... Our lead singer in the band is a retired welder with much skill ... all easily done ...
The HF trailer for this one was just a nice simple package ... easy for me to do as likely this Foamie will be SOLD soon ... :o I have two most reasonable offers already ... 8) Selling this one would allow me to move on to the next Foamie build ... freeing up building space in the Studio , and getting the wife off my back about so many trailers in the yard ...

We're officially on "trailer watch" now!!!  It's kinda like waiting for your children to be born but if you can sell this foamie, you'll be able to make money on the deal unlike "real" children. Fingers are crossed, holding our collective breath...
