We got the canvas on the camper body over the weekend.

I was a bit nervous. I could think of at least 150 ways to mess this up.

My wife on the other hand was cool as a cucumber. She was amazing help.
It really wasn't as bad as I had built it up to be. The latex block filler stayed wet for us so that we could work the wrinkles out. We started at the top, pinned it, then worked in thirds down to the bottom.

Cut the excess to within 2", then painted it in on top. When it dried, I put a light coat of spackling on the edge, to feather it to the foam. Probably overkill. Then I ran two one inch strips of blue masking tape the length of the trailer on the edges.

And this in where we are today. I will go back with an x-acto knife, along the edges, just slightly inboard of the masking tape, and cut the top back. What should be left is an inch of overlap at the top, roof piece covering side pieces. Two more coats of block filler, sanded to the desired texture, then paint.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. And I have Memorial Day Off!!!!!!
Mark.
