It's just like I said in another thread. The shell itself is really simple. It's all the other details that take a lot of time, money and labor... :?  :? By the time I am done, I figure I'll have taken 15 months... :o  :o . Subtract three or four months for shoulder surgery and I've still taken nearly a year... :o  :o The difference between picolight and big tub of goo

Thanks guys for the comments. I'm very happy with the way it is coming together. Today I got the white paint on, fenders mounted and lights installed, door is mounted with all hardware as well. I still have to finish the wiring and install the window in the door. Heading out camping for a few days in the morning. Should have everything finished on Saturday, then to the DMV to get her registered. Here are all the pics from today.

Yeah, that does look great! Nice job.

Have you thought about adding a splash of that red on the sides? Maybe something as simple as painting the fenders to match the roof or doing the wheels and window frame in the red, just a little something to break up all of the white and tie it together without going too far with the theme?

I do like what you have done. The red is a great color and you can't go wrong with racing stripes.

That looks awesome!!! I agree with KC. I think the red fenders would really bring it all together. Nicely done. So what kind of paint did you use? Shines!!!

I'm going to add some lettering to the sides. I'm calling the trip the "Let's Get Riding Tour" as a musician, I'm going to be doing several concerts along the way. I'll also have my website on the side too. www.dougbriney.com

Pico Light Foam and fiberglass

Postby aksnowryder » Fri Jul 06, 2012 8:29 pm

Ah... Primer... I used two quarts of a high build urethane 4:1 mixed primer. The brand I used was Nada. It worked great for filling in the fiberglass weave. It is Very thick and I did have to thin it to get it to spray right. But very good stuff!
