Here is my idea and I have not read where this works or not.
I have placed some interior paneling on as my roof. It looks great! I then placed fiberglass (no cloth) to "seal" it. The resin did not stick very well as the paneling seemed to be more like a "photo" on top of the fiberboard. Any sanding and the "photo" would be gone showing the fiberboard.
Now after 3 years, some of the "photo" along with the resin is coming away from the fiberboard. I put down more resin which is soaked into the fiberboard but it is leaving area's, spots or brown fiberboard showing.

My thought would be;
Remove the "panel photo"
TB glue down
Use some cloth with a pattern in it.
Then coat top with polyurethane as a final seal. And leaving the cloth pattern being seen.

Would this work? TB/cloth/poly?????

Let’s hope the photo comes off easily ... The rest would work ...

It has already started to "flake" off in a few spots, most notable on the rear hatch.
So it has to come off as anything attached to it would just continue to flake away!

I just wonder if I can find a giant Picacho or Sponge Bob. I would like something that appears like the US flag but at 5 feet tall it would only be 9.5 feet long. Not enough to cover our teardrop.

I'm thinking sanding would get rid of the "photo" but I wonder if you might run into problems with the glues that held the plys together? The picture would look great under resin. I know of people who've done it on kayaks and paddleboards.

The photo did look great under the resin but again, the resin did not stick to the photo, there is no way to rough up the photo (too thin), and the resin/photo that is there has started to crack and flake.
Today I finished taking off the majority of the resin and photo. As the base is fiberboard, I now have a nice soft smooth fiberboard to glue down the cloth. I can imagine now that the glue is going to soak into the fiberboard nicely. Perhaps a bit too much. I will roll it on, cloth, then roll on more for the "first pass". Then let all that dry in the shed. With all the heat right now, it will bake on! Then poly for another sealed layer.

Then a For Sale sign. If I can sell it, the plan is to build another one in 2-3 weeks so we can do more camping this year.
