I have to figure out what to do about an A/C tho, don't want a rooftop unit since I can fit the trailer in the garage if I want. Was thinking about the portable unit but after reading the A/C thread i'm not sure now. The only time the A/C will be used is at night since when were at the track were all outside BBQing and hanging out until bedtime. Anyone have any ideas?

Several folks here either have or plan on installing a window unit thru a cargo door in the side of their CT. They work great and cost lot less than a roof model. There are many post here discussing it.

Have you seen one of these in person? My understanding of this system is that it is basically a swamp cooler. That may work in very dry desert conditions but in other places it will introduce a LOT of moisture into the trailer, and moisture is usually our enemy. If anybody has other experience with it please feel free to share.

That's exactly what it is. A Swamp Cooler. Worth it's weight in the Desert, not worth a plug nickle with humidity over 60%, and runs on 12 vdc.

Thanks, I just wanted other people that read this from "non-desert" areas to know this going in. We had massive swamp coolers in Saudi, Kuwait, Iraq, etc and even there they weren't used because they just made you wet (but the sales departments were good at convincing the office bound purchasers that they were the best thing since sliced bread) but if it works good for you I'm glad.

Here in the desert SW, Air Conditioners will sometimes "freeze-up".
As they are basicly de-humidifiers, if they have very little or no
moisture in the air to remove they won't function well at all.
The addition of a minute amount of moisture into the air, and
blown with a fan will knock the temps. down a tremdious amount.
Ever seen the "Misters" at a sporting event??? Samething.
Use what is appropreate for you area.

So I got my two kinro 15x22 inch windows today and now I'm lost. The trim rings look like they weren't bent correctly, looks like they don't screw into the window like I thought and only just grip a lip on the edge of the window. Anyone have any idea's cause now i'm having second thoughts about even installing windows.

The interior trim rings that I have seen just screw into the interior wall. They are just cosmetic to cover the cut out. They are not really needed except to clean things up. I thought the same until I removed mine from my donor trailer.

There is a small groove around the outside of the window frame that lines up with the holes in the trim ring, use small self tapping screws and that's it.

Mine mounted different than pvangel. He is probably right on your style of window. I had to added cross-bracing to my CT frame to provide a solid support for the window and to have something to attach the window too. My windows screwed directly to the frame.

Here are some more pics, we have spent three weekends at the track and have been very comfy. The windows that I purchased went back because the trim rings weren't right and i'm looking at just putting one vertical open window in the door.

What do I screw the window to?

This is typical of this type of window. It is used in probably 90 percent of the rv industry, It is called a 'clamp-ring' style. When you secure the screws to the window frame it clamps it in place.

The screws actually go into the grooves made into the exterior trim ring. The screws do not go into the wall at all and form a tight clamp of the two halves.

I put the screws and the installed 4 pop rivets in each window just didn't trust those short screws

Since the bikes will be low, could you mount the AC high on the dividing wall and somehow vent to the outside through the garage? Sure would save exposure to the AC unit.
