Interesting new item. Can't tell how the rain fly works. If it was was somwhat bigger, could really be a boon for teardrops. http://www.tailveil.com/index.html. They should really market to us!

Little Guy is selling these for tear drops. They work best on the Silver Shadows with the longer hatch. They also work on 5-wides with the addition of some wooden 1x2's to take the slack out of the veil.

I've ordered one for my 4-wide. I'll have to wait to see what kind of 1x2's I'll need to make it work.

It'll be nice to have a screen room to put Sunny Day in.

Oh, and the rain fly is very effective, per someone who tested it in a rain storm.

A ha! Little behind the times i see I am. However, the door is on the wrong side for convience sake. There is not picture of the rain fly.. How much does it cover?

Maybe they have it on backwards in the picture.... because it would be smarter if the door was to the passengers side and without a fly someone will get real wet if it is raining!
Looks like it would make a great wading pool if was hot out as they seemed to be more concerned about making it water tight from the bottom up.

The rain fly is in their gallery. It is the total blue part. It goes totally over the Tail Veil, covering the screen and top.

I, too, have reservations that the zipper side should be on the other side. While this has been brought to their attention, there have been no changes. I will probably have a seamstress put in a second zipper for me. Of course that means a second zipper on the rain fly, too.

I'm looking forward to a bug free galley, a place to put Sunny Day, and possibly a place for a Luggable Loo.

I went with three hexagonal tarps on Compass Rose. CR has Kedar/awning rail that is continuous on three sides of the trailer. The rear tarp was custom made for us by Pahaque Design and is 6' wide at the trailer widening out to 14' and is 14' long. It is with them now getting attachable noseeum netting.

Since I know how to sew...........The Idea is great but can't afford it but I can see and check out the yard sales and see if I can find the materials to design my own with limited work I like the netting for a see thru area but it will have to have the rain fly.

Interesting.....I'll have an answer after this weekend. Would the rain fly be equally waterproofed on both sides? It has a zipper on the "wrong side", too.

You might want to go ahead and have a zipper put in the fly. I doubt the seams would allow proper watershed with it turned out.

Thanks. I'll just be trying it out for size on my 4-wide to figure out what dimensions of wooden "extenders" I need to take the slack out of the top. We'll see. Pics after the weekend.

I emailed them about our zipper concerns, and here is the reply:

Thank you for your email and yes we have some planned changes on our next version. One change is zippers on both sides like you would like to see and we are looking to integrate the rain fly so it is all one piece. I can’t say when exactly we will be able to offer the redesigned TailVeil but hope it to be soon. Please follow us on facebook if you haven’t already for future updates!
