Decided to go with red oak it matches my flooring better and it wasnt trwally that heavy compared to the other choices. Im going to do a real light stain later on. I got the ruff stuff cut that really wont be seen.

Added in the center brace which is offset a little to the driver side.

Soo i should have drawers around 20-22" wide. On the passenger side I have room for my fridge and then my ammo can swamp cooler im going to build! Behind the drawers will be the water pump.

When you say "water pump" I assume you are talking about the little kid peeking over the shelf.

Well got the main galley area finished. Ill need to buy another sheet of oak:( being 52" wide sucks for all the wide cabinets.
Everything is pocket hole drilled where you wont be able to see them.
Also built and installed my poplar hatch spar. Need to start runnin my water lines behind the cabinets to figure out how deep to make the drawers.

Same boat as you ben, i got a few things done but want to post them all at once. Your hatch is lookin nice. Workin on the interior wall and measured once not twice soo Im doing it a second time

I gave a few clues of what's going on but the big revile will be a while off.

Well got one door way framed in and half way finished on the other. I left 3/8th gap from the outer ply soo the door when installed should sit nice against the seal. Also put a few more roof spars in have one more to go. I bought the wall insulation and 3m adhesive for it. Movin along slowly. Also the stock samurai leaf springs arnt going to work i think probally will have to buy some OME or trailgear 3" springs.

Ran the porch lights and added the insulation. Cut out the interior walls and got them tacked and glue in place.



Need to build the interior cabinets and set it than go to work on building the interior ceiling. Got some backyard electrical to finish this coming weekend soo will have to see when i can work on it again.

Now your getting into the time consuming stuff just take your time and be patient it all will work in the end and if u get mad just walk away for a bit. It took me a month of a little here and there but I'm finally back on track and making progress again.

I had posted my problem in another build and dint wanna take away from his. Anyways here is what I had.
I was trying to slowly bend the 1/4th oak ply and was going to wet towel it later on before i actually installed it and middle of the night it did this. Broke right where the start of the brace on the backside was.

Sooo frustrated i drank all my beer. I dont know if i should find something thinner like 1/8th but it will be a different material and might look crappy. I can get 1/8th birch i believe 4x8 sheets, but I am worried about the color difference when i clear everything?

About your leaf springs what happened? I've been trying to figure out what to use and getting a weight of the body and frame etc.....isn't easy

Think they are just old and the guy used them in a spring over setup. Trailgear makes some 3" military wrapped im going to pick up. Ill get a.pick someday with the tired back on and full weight. I still recommend them though old man emu makes a set of HD springs also for 220 a pair.
