Here are my thoughts. Bob Henrys trailer would do what you are looking for real well. If you want to have it look like a teardrop and you never need to sleep in it then this is what I would do. The teardrop shape just attracts people to it. They may not know what it is, but they will come to look. So the trailer becomes an extra hook to get them over to your BBQ. For the outside I would use small clapboard cedar siding. There are a few guys that have used corrugated roofing as the trailer roof. (Or aluminum or painted aluminum could be used). Very rustic looking, but sort of what you think of when you are talking BBQ. One side of the trailer has a regular door to get to storage inside. The side you want to work off of would have a drop down surface to be used as a table, for display or service. Make the outside of this drop down look like a window with advertising under plexi glass. The galley gets made to suit you. Is there a smoker in it? Or are you just heating precooked BBQ. There are all sort of pullout possibilities since you do not have to sleep in it. You could make a pullout come out the side behind the wheel with cooking/ warming stuff built it. You have not given us a budget but a full vinyl wrap could also be done over a basic flat sealed exterior. A flag pole could work as a sign and attract people from a distance if you are set up at a fair grounds. A couple smoke stacks would be fun. This could be a real fun build.
