Ozark Shower Tent

Was just over to Walmart on my lunch hour and noticed an Ozark shower tent for $43. That's a lot cheaper than the one's at Cabelas, so I am wondering if anyone has had experience with it and what you think of it.

I've been looking at these types of shelters too and wondered the same thing. My biggest issue would be how easy is each one to assemble each time. I'd be willing to pay a little more for one that's huh yuengling proof.

Kat and I have one.
Only used it on two trips, but it works fine.
Fairly easy to set up, seems durable enough.
Has enough room for the potty, and when you take the potty out, our homemade shower works great with it.
Packs up fairly small also.

Do stake it down, doesn't take too much of a breeze to push it over, with it being so skinny and tall.

I have one too. Been using it for 2 years for the porta potty. Takes a little time on the initial setup to figure out how it goes up, but after that it takes about 10 minutes and one person can do it alone.

I really like it.

Tried one of those and carried it back....to much time to set up.We now have this one and love it...well my wife does ,she usually set it up and takes it down...

Looks great, but how do you keep it standing in a breeze?? I don't see any place to attach guy lines?

We have a similar but different brand. Ours has pockets on the side for sand bags, and also loops for stakes. In the wind it will blow over, but it is no big deal.

We have this one too. We call it the "poop" pod. We love it, but I don't use it as a shower. Just a place to put the potty, and change in. The thing is hilariously easy to set up, stake it down. The last time it was windy, and it was fun to watch the thing. It would blow completely flat to the ground and then just pop right back up. It was a VERY windy day though. For us, it is too easy to set up to "not" use it.

It has loops at each corner for tent pegs or sand bags for concrete ....we have had it in some pretty stiff winds with no problem...the potta potti stting inside helps to..ha ha .

I was under the impression that when one camps time is irrelevant

We all have had times when we might be in a hurry to get things all loaded up in a hurry ....I know I have.

The set-up instructions are sewn onto the outside of the carry bag and another set is sewn into the inside of the bag. It seems to be well-made and reasonably easy to set up. I was able to roughly scan in the instructions that are on the outside of the bag for you and post them here as a picture:



Last summer, I took everything out of the bag and set it up in my living room (didn't stake it). It seemed good to me; but, I never needed to use it. Maybe this year....

It may depend on what you plan to use the unit for. If it is just for a changing room and porta potti, most any unit will do. But, If you want to be able to take a shower inside, hanging your sun shower and towel, clothes, shampoo, etc, then you something that is made for that purpose. The Ozark Shower Tent has specific places to put your towel, shampoo and soap and sun shower bag and it has a step-out ground flap.

Brian, I don't know about the POPOD brand, but Cabelas also has a pop up type Privy and it only cost me around $50 when I bought it last year. Sooooo easy once you watch a YouTube video a few times about how to get it back in the bag
It has the pockets for sand bag weights and tabs for staking. The floor is removable if one wanted to use it for a shower (there is an opening up on one side so you can hang a shower from something sturdy)
