OK I got a Dietz Lantern, an old Acetylene cutting torch , and a 20lb bottle of Mapp Gas.. Im going on the cheap and using compressed air instead of Oxygen. Im thinking one of the new Northstar mantles would give maximum light output (at least till the top melts away)... :R :woohoo:

The Blue Sears stuff is on my favorite list. I'm hunting for a good 2 mantle with the BLUE big hat style vent. I restored one for a friend but have never seen another with the blue vent. It was a mid 70's lantern. I used Chrysler engine blue , I think it was Duplicolor, paint on the one I did and it was a good match. If you need more info on the paint, let me know and when I get out to my shop Monday I will check it out. Have fun restoring yours, it's a great lantern.
