Finished the floor today. Had to do some field modifications where the floor drops down, not pretty but I'll fill the ugliness with some flexible floor leveler. It will be covered by storage cabinets anyhow. Coated the bottom with Black Jack, insulated, and an other coat of Black Jack... That stuff gets everywhere! What a mess! Once it dries I will finish painting the frame, and scrounge up some money for my walls. Can't wait!

Here is the current design so far, although it changes on a regular basis. Started with the 2 person standy design, and then modified it to a campster12 profile. I may go back and add a curve to the bottom as well, I an not thrilled about the flat line.

I stretched the bed to a queen size, and putting a counter and storage in the front. I may be putting a window in the front as well, but we have to get the walls up and decide if we want to loose storage for a window.

The design is looking nice and it is always good to see a new build taking off. Good start on the floor!

Re: the flat bottom and sharp radius at the bottom back. I wonder if you can cheat the whole cabin back on the chassis some so that the front lower curve is a bit closer to the front xmbr (maybe have the profile curve intersect the top leading edge of the steel instead of the bottom), giving you a little more room at the rear xmbr to increase the radius there as much as possible before it gets to the rear xmbr. That just might make the difference you are looking for. I like what you have so far, but agree with you that the aesthetics could get better with a little more curve in the trunk. Would be worth considering?

I played a bit with it today, removed the rear sharp radius and ran an arc to the front, didn't like it, but I then left the right corner in the rear, grabbed the center of the straight line and pulled it down 2" into an arc (leaving the two endpoints where they currently are) and it looked a lot better. Just a slight curve but made a huge difference. The drawing is my profile calculation drawing, so it's not fancy, but you get the idea.

Took your advise (well some of it) and increased the rear lower radius to 6". I was able to move it up 3" to the bottom of the deck and then ran my lower arc. Still hides the trailer frame, which I was worried about. I think I like it.

Spent most of the day today helping out with a Spaghetti feed to benefit a local hospital, but I did get 3 sheets if plywood glued up for the first wall. Used my new biscuit jointer and put biscuits every 6". One joint was being obstinate so I screwed a temporary piece if scrap to it to hold in place. Tomorrow I hope to get the profile cut out.

Yesterday finished the first wall complete with door and window hole cut, I was able to get my wife to pose for a picture. I also got 3 more sheets spliced together.

Today I cut out the second side, and sanded to match the first wall. The spliced plywood is strong, but does not tolerate bending at the joint, so I have 2x4's temporarily screwed to the walls until they are installed.

I also did a mock up of my method for attaching the sidewall to the floor. Seems to be very strong.

Got my walls finished and one up! My wall design turned out to be a pain in the butt due to the edges of the floor having a slight curve, but got it in. I CAN SEE IT! (Complete with toilet placement)

Spent a few hours on my build this weekend. Front ribs and inside skin on. I had originally planned on putting the sheets side ways so I didn't have an off center joint running down the length of my trailer, but the 5mm plywood was not going to bend in that direction without a ton of work. I plan on finishing the inside skin and insulation this week, then wiring and outer skin.
