$30,000 teardrop

Postby pete42 » Sun Apr 21, 2013 10:54 pm

between watching the Basketball game tonight and the show about trailers and rv's at the beach.
there was a teardrop manufacture that make a wine tasting tear for a person so they
could put on wine tasting at their vineyard the builder said it cost $30,000.
like my old uncle use to say "a fool and his money are soon parted".

BUT......
If that 30,000 is recouped by new sales. then the fool is not parted with his money.
Then the 30,000 becomes an investment.
Now a comercially built rv that fall apart before it it even delivered to the customer. then thats a fool and his money
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

I don't know anything about wine so I don't know the cost of a bottle of wine
but $30,000 seemed like a lot of money for a tear drop trailer.

he was set up on a beach with lots of scantly clad ladies standing around drinking wine
it basically had a table extended from the galley facing one side where he served the wine
there was a TV and CD player mounted in the right side door opening.

you are right if it produces $30,000 in new sales he would be even.

the only wine I remember from my youth was "Thunderbird" "what's the price? 30 twice" was their slogan.
I still never drank any.

Oh well!

I think we drank at least $30,000.00 worth of wine during the building of our teardrop??
Oh well there is always more being made everyday! :wine:

I saw that show, it was on yesterday evening showing lots of RVs and resorts from multi million to a mom and daughter with a tear. One was a company out of Roanoke Va who built the one you saw and I think he said it took him couple months to build and $30 to $40,000 minus the bikin babes.Larry

The maintenance costs would be more than $30K if the bikini babes were included.

I dont think I am allowed to have bikini babes around my tear. I am going to do some research on that one.

Nope I am not allowed. And I was told that is a final decision.
