Since I pulled my shoulder, I've been out of commission and benched to the living room couch. But, I though I'd show what I got done on the pontoons before I got hurt.

After covering the floats with the bedsheet, I added a heavy canvas doubler to the bottom to take some wear.

Turned out a 2" overlap up the sides was able to form over the edges without wrinkles.

I used up odds and ends of paint I had to fill the weave in the sheets. colors are whatever bit of paint was left over.

For a finish color, I used up the green paint I got for the stripe on the teardrop. Here's the first side drying before flipping to paint the other.

Kat picked a bright red for hers. Put her to work painting her own floats.

Think they turned out OK. If this shoulder ever quits hurting so I can get back in the shop, I'll weld up the seat/ attaching framework. At least the paint will be dry when I start working on them again. (already been three weeks)
