1947 Modernistic Teardrop - SOLD

Have a teardrop or a trailer for sale? Need one? Post here...

Postby Gage » Sat Apr 17, 2010 3:28 pm

Wish I had the time Mark. I'd come and get that thing and then bring it back to the West Coast and sale it in a heart beat. There is a larger buyer base for vintage TT's and Teardrops here than on the East Coast. At least that's the way it seems.

Gage drove all the way to Fish Creek in a 59 Ford wagon, so Tennessee should be an easy trip!!

No road trip for us this year. I can only afford a long trip every other year. We're talking 5 to 7 weeks that average about $3000 each. We've made two trips to the East Coast and plan on making at least one more. We want to get into Florida and spend some nights at Camp Wilderness or is it Fort Wilderness? When we get ready to head that way we'll be asking for help and what is the best time to come back there. ;)
As a side note, we try and hit at least two gathering back there if we can.
:)

Sorry for the Hijack........

I cant believe that somebody hasn't picked up your trailer yet. I mean a 1947 original teardrop in perfect condition who could pass that up. I would love to have that trailer in my yard. - Wayne

Thanks Wayne and Gage,

As I said, we are working out the details on a possible sale.

We've only listed it here and on the Tearjerkers site, but if this sale doesn't work out we'll expand the sales market. There's a buyer out there.
And Gage, if I had the time I'd bring it to you, but we have too much camping already planned this year....

Wayne, we were in Hammondsport last year on the way to the ADK. We camped at Keuka Lake and visited a few wineries. We'll be at Watkins Glen on the way up, and probably Keuka Lake on the way back this year.

The '47 is currently off the market......

Pending sale has transpired in a positive direction......

Edit.... Sale did not happen so the teardrop is back on the market....

Thanks,
Mark

Hi, I know this post is a bit dated, but I was wondering what tent/canopy that is in the original post? I have been searching online for a similar one, with no luck.

thanks.

That canopy was made by Coleman, I can't remember what it was called, maybe will think of it later, but I believe it was discontinued a couple years ago. It was available in two sizes. Try looking on eBay.
