Boy isn't that the truth. Saving to pay as you go added about 6 months to a year on my build. But what a great feeling when you're finished and it is paid for.

Finished skinning the interior cabin yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't get my first sheet of plywood square, so I am going to have to trim the joints and the edges. The wife and I agree if we trim the joint lengthwise since it is off center we will need to put a matching "mock" trim equal distance on the opposite side, need to have balance or I will stare at it all night.

Today I installed 3/4 of the insulation and pieced together a back wall. It's not pretty, but nobody will ever see it once its covered. I did realize that my left wall Didn't suck up to the floor totally where the rear bulkhead is going in, but it will also be covered, and the 1/4 over 12' isn't noticeable from the outside... But I know it's there and it will bug me for ever! Next up finishing the insulation and then the wiring in the roof. I should be skinning the roof by weekend!

This weekend installed my axleI and tires, ran all wiring that is going in the roof (running/tail lights, interior lights), and skinned the out side of the cabin. Today I am going to put a can of fix a flat in one of the tires and take it for a drive around the neighborhood. My garage is in bad need of cleaning up, so it will be good to get the trailer outside for a while. We had some unseasonably warm weather this weekend, up to 85, and I think it was 10 above that in the ceiling of my garage!

Took it for a drive! My tires are rotting out and plan on replacing them before camping, but for now all the budget is going to the build so fix-a-flat to the rescue. Filled up the tire and took it for a drive around the neighborhood.

Havn't posted this week but I have been bondoing and sanding. I have enjoyed the work on the trailer until this point! I did score a small SS sink for $5, and a vintage "pump-a-drink" for $15 NIB!

Hello,

What a wonderful shape! I am just now in my thinking mode for my 2nd teardrop and leaning toward the standie. Then I found the 2 person standie which held promise but then yours came up and I am sold on it.
My first is a Grumman II build using the Benroy for overall base.

Anyway, I have not been able to get the dimensions so a quick question. What is your floor size? 5X10???

It's a modified Campster 12 design. Overall dimensions is 76" wide (inside) by 12' long, so the floor is slightly shorter than that. I will have a dinette that converts to a queen size bed, and cabinets in front.

I can post my sketchup, but they are not clean. A lot of field engineering and I suck at Sketchup,but it has the basic design, and the profile calculations.

Sand and fill and sand and fill and sand... I have to give up and call it good. Also started building the hatch, I sure hope it comes out. Cutting the ribs sure cured me of ever wanting to build a boat!
