Rv trim butt joint cover

Postby mrslamb » Tue Apr 30, 2013 5:21 pm

Does anyone know where to buy an aluminium cover for where the butt joints come together in my RV moulding? My joints aren't matching up like I would like.

Thanks!

Is this what you're looking for (metal end caps)?

A picture sure would help (or a little more explaining).

RV molding; what kind?

If it is insert trim, the butt joint is mostly concealed by the vinyl insert.

If it is solid aluminum rub rail/trim there is no "cover" it just butts together.

It may be easier to reposition one of the pieces so they both line up?

Hard to do well at a guessing game when you have a blindfold on...

Thanks I will try to get a picture up soon. It would be similar to those end caps except would go over the two pieces fitting together.
