Us too. God willing.

Marty, I see this is your first post. Welcome to the insanity! What are you picking up? We just got ours a year ago and except for a pain in the butt dog I can't get to be quiet, I wish I bought it years ago!

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Gerry, I am picking up a Little Guy Rough Rider at their factory in Ohio. My tow vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler and I am going to take a trip to Colorado and drive on some of the backroads through the Rockies. No serious off-roading, but I want to have some extra clearance for the trailer. I have been enjoying the stories and pictures of members building their teardrops, etc. Very nice results and excellent building skills. I can only stay Thursday night and part of Friday, because I work every weekend, but it will be a lot of fun to see some of the trailers and people that I have been reading about here. My sister got me interested in teardrop trailers last summer, and we made a trip to Kokomo, IN to see some and really though they would be great for camping. I finally was able to order mine 6 weeks ago. My sister and her husband ordered theirs a couple of weeks later.
Thank you for the nice welcome.

Winery tour

We have an added attraction for anyone who'd like to attend.

There are several local wineries in Southern Indiana and a tour can be arranged for anyone who would like to sign up for a tour.

During the gathering (I'll be there about three days early), I'll discuss this with the tour guide and get more details about the tours.

This might be a good thing to do on Friday so people can bring back some interesting samples for the "Wine & Cheese" on Friday night.

Welcome to the insanity Marty

I hope to make it noonish on Thursday, so I should get to see ya there.

You have 5 or six Hoosier Tearjerker members right there in Greenwood so you will get to meet several of your close neighbors.

Hello Kurt,
I will be in site 90 over Thursday night until 2 pm or when ever I move the trailer to the parking lot. I have to eat breakfast and have my coffee. My sister and her husband are coming out Friday afternoon with their Silver Shadow, so I am going to hang around for awhile and visit. I work every weekend, so I won't be able to be there Saturday or Sunday. It will be a lot of fun to see all of the trailers there, and get to meet some of the people from the forum.

Hello Verna,
Thanks for another welcome! :-D Hope you are enjoying your travels. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your new Silver Shadow.

I just went back into the CRA 2011 threads to see how we are doing compared to 2011. This what was recorded as of May 17, 2011

"Update to the attendance for "Crossroads of America 2011"

As of this morning; the latest tally is 120 registered campers. This is going to be fun."

We are still on pace (with 115 campers) to tie or exceed the 2011 attendance.

Anyone who has not told us what site you have reserved is urged to do so.
We want to include you on the attendance list and on the "MAP".

Another event is shaping up for the CRA 2013. This will be a fund raiser for the ST. Judes donations.

There will be a silent auction similar to the one we did in 2011 but there will also be an "oral" auction as well.

These auction items should be "camping related" and small enough to be easily transported.

Examples could be cooking related, lighting, travel guides, cast iron, gift cards to Cabelas/Bass Pro/Gander Mountain, or any other place that could be shopped online if no store was close to the winner.
Everyone is encouraged to bring an item as a donation for the auction.

The "Oral Auction" will probably be on Saturday afternoon but the time is not yet confirmed. This should be a fun event and all proceeds will go to St. Judes.

We will also need some volunteer help so if you'd like to take part, please notify us on the forum and/or by email to [email protected]
