Anyone built a standing camper around 6x10.

Postby qwerty11 » Sun May 05, 2013 10:58 pm

Does anyone have any builds, pictures, etc of a standing camper around the 6x10 size? Trying to get some ideas. Look through a ton of the build threads, but never seen anything close to this.

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

Ours is about 6'-3" x 9'-10", built on a pop-up frame, and is a standy if you are just under 6' tall. 5'-11+ inside.

You may want to take a look at Andrew's "The Wanderer" and "The Widget" in the Design Library under Design Resources. Here are links to those:

Here's a couple of builds of similar size from forum members:

Mine was built on a 6.5' X 10' frame. The interior height is about 6.5 feet at the highest point. The link to my build is below. I'm still working on it and need to post some updated pictures.

Bult this one last year on an old Hi-Lo frame. It is 6' wide 6' tall and 12' long. Rear hatch with kitchen outside, queen bed in back full dinett in the nose, converts to full bed, A/C and lots of storage.

One of the nicest standy builds was Carter's Big Drop:

The Command Post is roughly 6 wide by 13 long with stand up room, but the floor is 6x10. The rest is overhang.
