Greetings from far South East Louisiana, home of sunshine, shrimp, crabs, strawberries and lots of really nice folks! I joined this forum a while back, actually a pretty long time I guess. And, from time to time i have been stopping in and lurking about and fighting the urge to just drive the 40 miles to Harbor Freight and coming home with a trailer frame. I am still fighting the urge, but I'm weakening. I'm pretty sure that lots of you other folks know just what I mean.
We already have a nice, pretty new, travel trailer which we like and it does everything we need. I am just personally fascinated by the possibility of building and using a teardrop, working on the efficiency, and functions and just plain classy looks. I've never built a teardrop, but i've built a dozen boats and remodeled, rebuilt and maintained our homes for a long , long time.
I'll be spending time looking at all your ideas and plans and figuring out which way to go and what I'd really like to end up with. From time to time i may have to ask ( a million questions ) . Perhaps there is some teardrop gathering in this area i could attend. I sure will be interested if anyone can suggest one, or if anyone is nearby and wants to show off their rig .
Thanks in advance for letting me take part here! islandpiper
