germanteardropper from Kirn(germany)

Postby germanteardropper » Sun May 12, 2013 12:27 pm

hello all,

I was, and still am, very fondt on camping and being outdoors.
Being in a tent i did my share of camping with my parents wen i was just a kind, when i grew up i bought myself and the misses a rv tailer witch we sold because we moved out off the country(from the netherlands to germany) and didn't need it anymore.
But the blood goes where it whants to go so i was brouwsing for an other rv trailer a few weeks ago, but didn't find what i wanted.
Then i saw a ad on ebay from a teardrop trailer and started digging into the concept a bit. But i lead it rest untill resently a budy of mine (a biker) was telling he was going to camp with his bike and the only thing he hated was to lay on a airmatreas in his tent.
Then it hit me and i thought i can build me a teardrop myself and when he like's it i can help him building his.

I found this forum about a week ago and found it very helpful and now i did join so i can share in the good and bad thing members do experience with the building and using the td or ttt.

Welcome to the forum !

There are a few European members with us, but at the
moment the only one from Germany that I can think of
is Tom from Bavaria. He's building a very nice stainless steel
and aluminum motorcycle TTT - not the usual homebuilt.
Here's a link to his build journal:

http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=54344

Just keep looking around on here and you'll find a lot of inspiration.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

Tom (ST1100) is from Southern Germany near the Bavarian Forestand and he is building a
tiny Airstream to pull with his motorbike.

This is his welcome Newbie thread.

I remember see a few other people from Germany as well.

Hello,
I am happy to learn that you will build a teardrop Caravan in Germany. I saw many very big Caravan's going on Holiday in August but no small ones such as these.
You live in a beautiful town, I like to sit under the umbrella at Restaurant Blum next to Galerie AM Markt and see the fountain.
Good luck with your build.
