Hi from England UK

Postby Grumpypaz » Mon May 13, 2013 4:44 pm

Hi I'm Grumpy Dave. Grumpy because I can be with anything that can't or wont be fixed. Mainly mans inhumanity to his fellow man. Also Grumps is what my Grandaughter calls me. Now I am retired and the bankers have seen off most of my pension :x (see what I mean) we want to be able to afford to tour with more weather protection than a tent. A driveway only 6'6" wide means a normal caravan is out. So I am thinking in terms of a New Cub or Widget6 with cooking inside (British weather). I have most of the skills needed after building a kit car with a wooden body and rebuilding 2 Landrovers. 1 a 58 series1 and the other a '72 ser3 Searl Carawagon camper that is too cramped for 2 fogies and a German shepherd. This would be our tug. My idea is to build my own chassis with 13" wheels and rubber suspension units most of which I already have. Well thats it for now.
Cheers Dave
By the way I do have a sense of humour, twisted my wife claims.

Morning GD,

Welcome aboard.
Restored a Mk 2 Landy back a bit, a trayback, came up a treat.
Teardrops are good fun, we were into the caravan scene for years but the convenience of a Tear is really great.
Top forum this one , heaps of info and friendly folk.

Take it easy.

Lets do a three sixty and get out of here !

Welcome aboard.

I got the cure for your grumpiness. Get you a few bottles of merrydown cider. Drunk it, get merry and fall
down. You’ll forget about being grumpy until you wake up.

Man I wish I could get merrydown in kansas. At least I can get strongbow imports.$$( that price makes me
grumpy) hahaha
Lets see some pictures. Not of you passed out on the floor but the campers. :pictures:

Hi I'm back, I forgot who I was,Doh! :? Junkboy, I'm more of a real ale fan, we have a local microbrewery here in Cheshire. called Weetwood. Very good for banishing gloom. There are also more 'real' cider makers coming along . 'Old English' was a Summer favourite of mine, it used to make the floor go soft like walking on a mattress, till you fell over.
Photos will come when I sit down concentrate and work out how to do it.
By the way, does anyone know what has happened to TCGB (Teardrop club GB) I can't find them anywhere, my favourites brings up some weird page. :x
