someone woke up on wrong side of bed lol. yes the terms were wrong, but the picture was clear. no need to get technical about it.

A little different slant on how to keep hitch from rattling.
On my late wife's mobility scooter lift a nut & bolt was used to hold it instead of a normal pin.
The bolt was a little bit smaller than the hole of the receiver a spacer fit over the bolt on both
ends and filled the holes when it was tightened the spacers pushed against the ball mount and kept
it from moving inside the receiver. worked great but was a pain to install and remove since a wrench was needed.

My brother never removed his ball mount from the receiver on his van
now the rust prevents him from removing it, makes a great shin knocker
someday I may show him how penetrating lube works.

I always remove my ball mount and spray a little wd40 or lubricating grease in the receiver.
