My 6x12 cargo Conversion

I have a 2005 Haulmark cargo trailer that i used to haul a golf cart in. Sold the golf cart and the trailer just sat for a year. We have a 38 1/2' Park Model camper that is at a permanent campsite that we use all the time. Some of our family goes weekend camping, and we decided we wanted to join them sometime, so after reading Alot on this forum I decided to convert the Haulmark into a camper. This is our first time doing anything like this, but we are very happy with the results. So i thought I would share the project pics

Just installed Shelf over the dresser, will get pic later. Still have to install Window AC/Heater in rear wall next to dresser.

This was a fun project, been working on it for a month now after my regular job, but running out of daylight to soon.
It is still light enough to tow with my 2013 Ford Edge or my 2012 F150
interesting to see if we can handle the small living quarters compared to our park model. But it is only for 4 or 5 weekend trips a year.

Thanks everyone. Its almost done except for the AC and a few detail things. Unfortunately here in Michigan our camping season
is over till spring. But, we are starting to plan a few trips with it already.

Were the walls/ceiling already insulated?

No, I bought it new in 2005 and it was pretty bare inside.

This trailer is a 2005 HAULMARK Black Aluminum exterior. It has sat outside in the Michigan Weather since new. Needless to say the black finish is dull and oxidized. And it had some graphic lettering on it for years that advertised my Golf Cart Customizing business. I pealed all the vinyl graphics off last fall, but of course there is alot of glue residue still on it. I tried some GooGone tonight. It worked but took 10 minutes to remove 6" of residual glue. What can i use that will return some of the Original Luster to the black finish, and what will take of the glue faster than GooGone? I do know that the black finish is very thin, and not very durable. And it does scratch easy. Cant spend the money it would take to repaint it, so i have to just make what I have look better.
Need some help folks. Please post any and all ideas.

The best thing I've found to take off oxidation is polishing compound that you would find at the auto parts store. If that isn't strong enough, you could go one step coarser to the rubbing compound, but that might be too aggressive for the thin paint. The PO of my trailer rubbed off most of the paint on my barn doors trying to take off his decal residue.

Denatured alcohol is my go-to for most goo removal since it's pretty safe with most automotive finishes, or maybe try some naptha, but I'd guess they aren't any better than the GooGone. Acetone is really powerful, but depending on what kind of paint it is, you might end up with bare metal.

Heck, take all the paint off and polish it up Airstream-style!!

Way back in the 60's and 70's I used to use some rubbing compound to get rid of the oxidation from
cars and other vehicles.

I used to get an empty catsup/ketchup squeeze bottle and mix it (about an inch to an inch and a half
of the compound), with water shake it up until completely mixed, squirt some on and rub it in with a damp
wax applicator, allow to dry, wipe off. Works fine lasts a long time.....

A friend of mine says use Mineral Spirits. Any input?

I tried all of the above without any luck. Paint thinner and a couple other things did I great job of getting the glue off but they all took paint with them. All's well that ends well, I didn't want a boring old white trailer anyway.
