Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Signature

Postby 2bits » Wed May 15, 2013 10:54 pm

Hey guys, I just added my new campers and I am wondering if it is too much. I like having them all on there, past and present but I don't want to be a pain where my signature rolls over into two lines of photos or is just too bulky! Right now, I max the allowable height and go with that since it looks good, but I was considering pulling them all in and bringing them down to a smaller size but I just wanted some feedback if I was one of those guys whos signature just annoys people because I don't want to do that, so please let 'er rip and let me know what you think!

Thanks!
Thomas

Why don't you just show the ones you have now and keep the rest in your gallery. Oh, and by the way. I get two lines, not one. So you have too many trailers showing if you only want us to see them in one line. :?

I like it,, but more than two lines might be a bit much. Maybe,, I like seeing what people have and have built, the easy way. I tend to not bother with the galleys, my personal preference.

Thank you for the replies guys, I don't want two lines either, so I am gonna do something to fix it then. My first thought was to remove the ones I don't own any longer but I have a hard time pulling the LT off. I'll probably remove the truck camper and leave the LT and my three I have now. Thanks again!

I guess it must depend on your computer Thomas. On my screen your sig is one line with 5 pix, & there is still room for at least one, maybe 2 more pix of same size...

Yup, it depends on your screen resolution, I see it both ways depending on what device I use. I remembered I took a pic of all three together so using that pic I think will help it not take up a bunch of space and also hopefully help pages to load faster for everyone!

I would really miss seeing the LT if you took it out.

Maybe the admins can address this, but is there a way to have a rotating sets of pics in the signature like in the Hall of Fame?

If so I think it would be nice if others selected the best from their galleries instead of constantly seeing the same.

I notice a few already change their avatars frequently - makes things more interesting.

Just my 2 cents 2bits.

Me too Karen, I couldn't bring myself to do it, that was truly a labor of love, I hope you like the new pic I put up along with the other pic of the "triplets" LOL

MC, I also run a web forum, and since the signature is user owned and a simple text field I cannot think of a way to automate it at the forum level beyond a savvy user creating their own animated GIF, but no mater what it will need to be user driven, not forum driven. I use this one on my East Texas Classics forum

:D
