Hinge/Hatch Problem

Is there anyone in southern Wisconsin who could lend me a hand/give advice about my hatch? I'm having trouble getting it to close properly. I thought it was ajar and would be fixed up when I re-installed the hinge, etc, but it does't seem to have made a difference. I'll give it another try tonight, but I don't want to damage the hinge.

Does the hatch side spar contact the trailer side spar before the hatch is fully closed?

When I removed the edge aluminum trim to replace it, I realized that the aluminum was splayed out and caused it to not close easily. When the trim was put back on, it fit. It closed. Thanks in advance. Sorry for panicking
