Looks super comfy!

Can you post more details about how you did the tongue box and the spare mount?

Does the spare get in the way of tight backing?

A buddy of mine did the spare mount. he welded a piece of steel along the Tongue frame so that the mount would be higher. Then welded a Bracket that is used to mount spares to the first piece he welded. Them the tire just bolts on. hard to describe, but I would have to take the tire off to get a pic. It doesnt hit my truck bumper unless i was in a full jack knife and them the tire barely touches. I covered the Tongue Area completely with 1/8 Diamond plate, then mounted the box to it, then mounted the battery box inside of it.

I like the way you did that diamond plate on the tongue. I was just pricing some out the other day. What thickness did you go with? Any plywood under the plate?

I believe it is 1/8'. I just cut it to fit the shape of the tongue, drilled it, an Riveted it down.

I still need to measure the diameter of the tire so I can find a black tire cover for the spare.

must be pretty skookum rivets else you wouldn't trust it, I guess I'll have to go a bit oversize on the top and use U-bolts
thanks

The tongue cover has been in since 2006. Still nice and tight
