My new Tiny Travel Trailer

Postby Gage » Sun Jun 02, 2013 10:06 pm

Well beings how I was so successful selling my Field and Stream, I figured I better get another Tiny Travel Trailer (just what I needed). :? I picked up this 13' Burro that needs more than your common TLC. I have a good friend (Bob Ross) that will be restoring it for me per my ideas and directions. Here's a couple of pictures because I just know that you all like pictures. :)

Looks almost like our Uhaul!! Do you have the windows as that can be a big expense. A member over on that other site found a good source of windows that are custom made to the opening size, and reasonably priced. I was able to put a Scamp rear window into the rear of our trailer, I think I have the opening measurements if you need them.

Don't need any windows. I have all the parts and pieces that is needed to complete the restore. That was the first thing I asked about when I saw it. It's just stripped for paint which will be happening this next week. My lung condition is what's preventing me from doing the restore myself. :(

I like the little fins. This baby just calls for a cool paint job!

I like it, Gage. I was worried you weren't going to be camping without your Field & Stream. I should have known better.

I'll give up camping when I flat out can't go. I still have the Dalton and the Teardrop. ;)

Great find. I like it when people refurbish rather than letting something useful go to waste. Can't wait to see the end results. I know they'll be great!

Looks like a fun project Gage. What's the plan on the exterior paint...plain white or are you going to do a graphics thing on it.? Doug

The Scamp/Burro/UHaul design is such a classic. A good design. But even the best can use a tweaking. Will you be tweaking or go original?
