I'd like to design and build a minimal ultralight teardrop style trailer to pull behind my audi tt coupe for traveling to sports car races around the country. I've been looking at many of the small home designs by Paul Elkin And Deek Diedricksen
I'd like top design something with a queen sized mattress, which can be propped up for sitting up and with table/desk/counter that swings down from the ceiling to hold an electric griddle and or butane stove so I can cook inside the space. Rather than having the traditional teardrop flip up outdoor galley found on most teardrops
I'm thinking fabric storage duffles all around rather than built in hard to save weight
I'd like to pick up a used rear bumper facia (plastic cover with tailights) so I could incorporate that into the rear of the trailer. And find trailer wheels that I could paint to match the mags on the TT
Rather than using a trailer style roof vent, I'd like to use 1 or 2 aftermarket auto sunroofs and possibly shape the roof and side windows to "sort of" match the roof lines/ side windows on my TT
The roof and sides would be metal decorated with stickers I would pick up at races. The fabric bags would have racing patches sewed on. Pillows would be covered with pillowcovers made from racing t-shirts
It would be neat to have the drop down desk/table/counter varnished wood with event photos decoupaged on the the surfaces
Thanks
