source of aluminum for roof

Postby Rochester Coops » Sun Jun 02, 2013 5:22 pm

I've called all over Rochester, NY and can find lots of 4' wide aluminum, but nothing 5' wide. My td is 56 1/2" wide (just wide enough inside for a full size matress.) I really want to avoid having a seam. Where have you guys had success finding 5' wide aluminum? Also it would be really cool if I could find painted aluminum, so far all I've found in 4' is predominately white/black. I've seen some pics here of td's with different colored aluminum roofs, and would like something green/maroon if I could find it. Anyone painted their own? What did you do?
Thanks

If you have a truck trailer manufacture or a repair place, they have 80 inch wide aluminum for the trailer roofs.

I got 5' wide sheets from yarde metals. They have a wear house somewhere in NY.

This. Unfortunately it won't be available in colors.

I found some 5' wide aluminum at a sign shop in the DFW area but it was only in white.
