Hi everyone!!

This an informal get together for the bay area tear droppers who want to camp out on top of Mt. Diablo!!

The VIEWS are incredible up there both during the day and especially at nite!!

This is a no host affair and you will need to make reservations through the dreaded Reserve America website!!

Friday and Saturday nite only.

I have scouted some choice sites and will be talking with the rangers shortly.

Facilities are basic with nice bathrooms and warm showers and wash up facilities. Sites are level and comfortable.

Things to do can include a trip to the top and enjoy the visitor center or a climb some of the trails or rock formations, or just sit around and share camping stories.

More activities as I think of them.

Pot Luck or Roadkill chili...Why Not??

Again this is a WIP, Work in Progress, but is is right in our back door and we could be set up in less than few minutes.

Signify your interest on this thread, I know it is short notice...but sometimes that is the best fun!!

I know there is another event at this time...but this is just in the backyard type get together.

Dave, not to take anything awayfrom your event, but there are at least 4 other events that weekend competing for attention. one in so cal, one in oregon, on in no Nevada, and a vintage trailer event up near Tahoe. Then there are several the following weekend. That may be why you are not seeing much interest. Good luck, hopefully a few locals will be able to join you! Sounds like a great place.

I hear yah...mine is less than event, more like watcha doing that weekend?

But I love the location and the views are almost comparable to Treasure Island!!

Devils Tears will happen...probably next season or maybe end of this season.
