I am new to the teardrop lifestyle. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new 4-wide, Little Guy teardrop. It will be completed just after the 4th of July! I am so excited to begin this traveling journey. Now let's get this party started!

Welcome to the forums.

Nice to see another Kansas member. There about 4 member up in Topeka area and 3 in wichita that I know of. A few I met a few at the Crawford state park gathering last September. Not sure if there is an official crawford gathering planned this year.

Link to last year's gathering. Pictures are at the end of the thread.

I am looking forward to meeting with campers in my area, and traveling around to see some of my friends around the country. Teardrop camping just seemed the best way to go. I would love to visit Mt. Rushmore in late July. Think I will just start out on some short trips around the state---Clinton, Perry and Pamona Lake are beautiful for camping and fishing. Kansas teardroppers....where are you?

The next biggest Teardrop gathering is the walk in the WYOMING's 2 WALK THE WINDS 2013 gathering.

Not sure If I can make it down. I spent most of my traveling budget on my trip to CA last may.

It is in a big field so it is almost like roughing it. Not sure if there is even a rest room. Pack it in pack it out.

Welcome to the group! It is a great place to meet new people and learn new things! I am from Southwest Kansas, but we are closer to the campouts in Colorado so usually go that direction. If we could meet more in the middle of Kansas, might try to meet up with more Kansas teardrops.

Welcome, Jan. I went to Walk the Winds last year. Walk the Winds is held in a group site. It has trash dumpsters and nice clean pit toilets made out of cement and wood, a community fire pit and lots of picnic tables. There is some shade along the edges of the field and there is a lake and another campground nearby. There are also lots of chipmunks, some rabbits, deer; and, occasionally, a free-roaming cow will wander in and leave a "deposit" to let you know it's been there...usually at night. So, if you have to use the toilet after dark, use that flashlight and watch your step early in the morning!
