I Gotta Get One of These!

Isn't that the coolest, impractical thing ever? I want one!

That is probably more than the RV cost.

They're gonna have to do better before I want one. All the locking mechanisms should be mechanized so you don't have to anything but hit a button. The air compressor should be built in rather than separate. Pneumatics are not all that powerful. If they used hydraulics they could really take things up a notch.

Couldn't the whole thing be built onto the roof of the coach so no trailer would be needed? Then you could use a draw bar or a trailer and drag your Bentley, MB, Porsche, or other vehicle behind with no loss of functionality.

About the biggest problem I see though is someone getting jealous and running off with it when your not looking.

I can say "conspicuous consumption" while looking at it.

Cheers,

Gus

pull the motor out of that motored ghetto. Add electric motor and some batteries.

Then call me.

What an idiotic contraption. What's wrong with the RV batteries and an Onan genset?

I can see a use but not in the RV world. It would be perfect for disaster relief and emcomm operations. the website lists it at 7.2 kw which is big enough to run my house.

Definately needs hydraulics.

Naw, that's the inverter size, it's around a 2.8 kw array. I bet I could build something like this on a HF trailer and pull it behind the camper. I'll have to start laying out some panels in relation to a 4'X8' trailer...

This is the concept I like better. It is a little too top heavy to place on a trailer. Designed by Gurdeep Sandhu , Solar Tree. But for the space that other thing took up you can put three of these on a trailer. They just have to be light enough to take off and set up by two people.

That might be good for that new piece of property that you have; but, you'd have to figure out how to keep it from growing legs and walking off!
 Maybe build a locking shed to keep it in and out of sight when you aren't there?

Heck, Bruce, I bet you have enough panels laying around to put something together. Sure can't plan on seeing the sites if you drag that around camping.

No problem, our dog is very protective and downright scary looking.

Looks big enough to run a 12VDC powered air-conditioner system. It wouldn't be enough to cool that RV, but a small well insulated one could be cooled.

Looking at it. They should have made a few changes. The array looks like it would make fine walls and roof for a car transport trailer. 8)
