Love the pictures I have learned so much from them. Thank you for taking the pictures and posting them, I learn from Looking and seeing, not wordy narratives that seem confusing and frustrating for me. just keep on keeping it simple and taking the pictures. Looooove It!!!!
You are doing a great job. and with the first one past me you never know when the second tropical depression will manifest and how long you will have!!!
I'm with Mary. Actually came back specifically to see if you'd posted more and looky there! Thanks for the pic showing your wood guides used to make the angle cut.
Thanks , Glad it all worked out for the good ... I just got off the phone with Vinnie , I’m going over there tomorrow (to the eastern half of the United States ) and he’s going to cut the nose ribs out for me then ...
Moving along now , I just HAVE to get some canvas ... and soon ...
Ps. seeing that early storm already has the wife packing ...
K’ ,just trying to keep it SIMPLE cause’ I’m building it all by myself ... Her Worship is Useless as a helper ..
Looking at all those lightening holes , just had an idea for hooking up some cargo nets overhead and on the walls (?) for even more storage if needed . Things like pillows and blankets , your secret bag of Oreos .. plenty of attachment points (holes)
Well, it rained all night... chance of T-storms today 80% Although I was going to build the “rib cage” directly on the trailer , looks like I may be assembling it inside , and adding it on later ... Gotta’ keep this project rolling (pun) ...
This is a good chance for Everybody to learn from my mistakes... Build during the Good Weather !!! Don’t wait till it’s Hot and rainy ... !!!
More pics ... the ribs and lumber (more than enough ) ... and how it fits on the trailer and how much I’ll have to block up the front end.to get it level .. and another view of that ...
The top rib will be parallel with the bottom rib and at 40” high , or just to the shoulder on the puzzle connection where the cabin rib goes from straight to curved.... connected by stringers just as the side was done ... A half cylinder , 40” tall ... the quarter sphere of foam will sit on top of that ...
That rib cage gives me an idea for making a round Bar for the house ... just the right size ...Hmmmm?
I been gone a few days camping with some other loony TDer's. Looking good there. A idea I had was instead of doing the special cut keystone. Just start at the top and build down. Just my idea.
