I don't know, the forum seems active to me. This spring was awful....cold ad rainy. There wasn't much to be excited about.

I still like the forum, i've become bored with some of the people on here. the ones that just like the sound of their own typeing. For instance half of what Slow just posted is completely incoherent. I ai'nt no english major, but

I think the reason is pretty simple really. In the winter people are indoors more, are more bored, and spending more time on their computers. But when the weather turns nice, since we are all outdoors lovers, we are outside either working on our teardrops, using our teardrops, or doing other outside activities. I think this is the nature of the forum cycle pretty much every year.

Also, there are some subjects that have just been "done to death," so maybe folks who have been around awhile just don't have anything new to contribute.

Few people like a continuous stream of "negative waves".

Just a thought.

Seems like some people have more time for the forum than others, some may read more threads than join them, some don't join in if they judge their input may not be pertinent or needed, some may just throw in their opinions just to join the fun. I have been all of these at times; I read everything and join in as I feel like, or feel if there might be some interest in what has happened in my build (mostly...don't do it this way). When I couldn't design, build, or contribute to someone else's builds, I try to just take in the conversations going on (although some threads have gone on for thousands of posts, are mainly one or two persons' conversations, and are completely lost to the majority of us readers...). I like to read some of the technical discussions, in hope that someday I might be able to use the info, and/or contribute some esoteric info to: ''solar" or "Wi-Fi in camp" or "Coleman restoration / frankenlantern" types of threads. And I try not to interject any of my sarcasm into a thread, or even my posts, that may offend someone, if they seem to be mis-guided or just clueless. I did that once, on another forum, and I found out that some people can't take a joke/think that they know it all/are just not worth even apologizing to (pick one, two, or all). If, somehow, I end up on someone's "foes" list, I think that it's their loss-not mine. I've just reviewed the # of postings per day by the people above me in this thread:one has 4 a day, another .04. That doesn't count for anything if one doesn't get something out of the practice. This forum, like others, is what you make of it, and may or may not please you all the time, but it keeps me coming back every day (I get something from it each time!). Just my $.02

I've been to Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Tahoe, The Great Salt Lake and various other lakes, big and small. Lake of Interest sounds compelling and , dare I say it, interesting. Gotta be better than The Lake of Fire

We have reservations for Lake Superior Provincial Park for eight days. Our kids grew up there and the only way to see most of the park is by canoe. Yes there will be :pictures: But first a TearJerkes gathering next weekend at Lake Loramie State Park Ohio.

Oh we highly recommend lake Tahoe, one of the most beautiful lakes in the us to our way of thinking. We were there last weekend, saw a big bad voodoo daddy concert!

Sunrise over Lake of the Woods. Of interest is the fact that I was facing southeast, looking over Canada, from Minnesota.

I have seen it too in our South Central gatherings and I haven't had a camper in a year which has contributed to my own lack of participation. I also got super busy with a major move and had to shift my time for research onto things related to that. Plus once I moved the forum logs me out within about 20 seconds and I have tried everything to fix it, so it makes it frustrating to post. I do miss the forum and posting alot. Even if your grammar isn't the greatest Slow, you always keep it positive and focused to the good of the group so don't worry about it. It's a good topic.

How did this thread all of a sudden get on LAKES? And this is one of the reasons I don't post much anymore. Some of our 'know-it-all' members just have to change the subject because they can't think of anything to add to the original subject. And now that I have most likely offended someone within this thread it's another reason I don't post much any more. People just can't take straight forward talk and I'm getting just a little tired of getting slammed for my post. :running man:
