General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

While I stop in everyday to read what's new----I don't post if I haven't anything new to contribute. Work and a nagging illness has prevented me from working on my camper décor, (no changing/luggable loo room yet)---just haven't felt like doing much of anything. Feel better now. Bob is officially retired as of Friday and I'm now on a two week vacation---we've decided to work on the house and gardens this week---next week is camping and assorted fun time. Yesterday, Bob and I experienced the joy of painting wood lattice---what fun!

There is nothing new to add at this point. Well that is not true for sure. I think one thing Slow is we have asked alot of the common questions people have about a build. I know I have. It is easy to do a search on fiberglass or spars hatch issues. We have so many excellent and detailed build journals that one can say I am going to do it this way. It could also be that teh teardrop tiny travel trailer is like the microwave, that everyone in america has one that they have built. (not likely but i did see three on my last trip to St. George, Ut) I think Mike would know better but how many people lurk and do not join the group yet use our resources to build their trailer. Some may not need to post once theirs is done. a whole host of reasons its slowed down.

Because that was the first word in the title of the original post. Makes sense to me.
Cheers,

In other words, Slow hijacked his own thread before it even got started.

The first line says a lot about lurking readers. The second line says we're still doing pretty good!

In total there are 90 users online :: 12 registered, 6 hidden and 72 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)

.
Most users ever online was 197 on Tue Nov 27, 2012 11:16 p

This morning, I checked and it was about the same, lots of lurkers, at that time: 93 users, most either guests (66) or hidden.

I haven't been a member for very long so cannot comment as to what was but to me it is a very good/interesting forum with a wide variety of members and topics.
It does appear to be very well run.
In my experience with forums it is the members who go stale, not the forum, this because the members are the forum. All forums cycle in interest level from an individuals point of view, as one would expect.
It is all good from where I am at.

Take it easy.

Some of our 'know-it-all' members just have to change the subject because they can't think of anything to add to the original subject. And now that I have most likely offended someone within this thread it's another reason I don't post much any more. People just can't take straight forward talk and I'm getting just a little tired of getting slammed for my post. :running man:
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not offended in the least. Sometimes I just lake to have a bit of fun. If someone chooses not to lake me or my sophomoric humor, that's OK ;)

I lake what you did there!

"lake of intrest on the forum." SlowCowboy, I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I just assumed that you were speaking metaphorically :D

Well, I'm kind of an outsider since I sold my Little Guy and went to a Pointy Trailer.

I camped at Banks Lake last month but didn't take any pictures. Banks Lake is man made and quite interesting in a few spots. The main part does look kind of boring, though. Now is the season when most lakes will be crowded. I will take my kayak out on our local lakes, but it might be too boring to post about.

I just returned from Springfield, OR where I camped and participated in a chainsaw gtg. We made some outrageous Scandihoovian Candles, but we were not camped at a lake. A river, yes, but no lake.

Stay tuned. I'm putting a lot of miles on the Pointy Trailer that is not a teardrop. But, I'm also having computer problems.
