Just in case some one is looking at this as a build guide, not that someone would I used a large tube of pl200 on each sheet of ply when attaching. I use a square notch trowel and spread evenly. As I have stated before I'm always on my own so I usually don't take the time for photos in mid stream sorry. But on the up side I did finish all the roof sheeting. It all looks the same so no since in posting pics. I guess the next step is cpes and funds getting low again so well see what I can find? might be able to make a trip to the scrap yard and a side job to get money back up for Ethel. And next week well be back on 12 hour days for 10 days. So that'll help too. I still have some jobs to do yet that I've been putting off maybe I can get them done. Ill post more after this weekend. As alway more to come and cheers  ill be back soon

I bought one of them trailer wire junction boxes and you can't go by what they say is the color code. I had a bunch wired and ended up having to rewire everything. So needless to say I spent about 2 hours doing a 15 min job. Lol I was scratching my head and bout made a bald spot before I figured out what I had done wrong. Luckily the cover on the truck side had a color/ destination code on it. Man did I feel stupid on that!

It doesn't make any sense at all from my perspective, but the 7-pin connector color code is not in agreement with the 4-pin std.

Makes no sense whatsoever to me.

Unfortunately, in the real world, wire color coding is merely a suggestion. Colors being reused and coding changed because you've changed plugs, manufacturers, etc. is the norm. I recently worked on a vehicle where EVERY wire was black with unreadable grey letters/numbers ... caused a few choice words and quite a bit of wasted time. If you are able to follow color code, cheer, be thankful, and by all means follow, but ... always wire by function and with plugs/jacks - pin location, not color.

Well I had a little progress today,
Image

And I thought I would see what my side lite would look like soooo,
Image
My main reason to cut the side metal was so I could get a little farther on the doors sooo,
Image

I liked what I seen so I went ahead and glued the shin to the door
Image
I noticed others talking about stapling the aluminum to the exterior so I tested it out,
Image
And I came to the conclusion that I need to use shorter staples,so I dug around the shop and found some 3/8" staples so ill probably use them if I go that route. Has anyone else done it this way? The ones in that I tried was 1 1/4" most went in some didn't but I had to crank the line pressure up to 120psi to get it to drive them and like I said some still didn't go in.
I haven't tried to attach the wall metal yet I just cut it and clamped it to see how it was going to look. And on the door skin I took 80 grit sand paper to rough up the back side so it might grip better. I hope it takes good. Please chim in on a good way on attaching to side and roof metal I would just like some suggestion good bad whatever I would just like to hear some input. TIA, and as always more to come and  hope everyone had a good weekend.

It's been a while since I have post an update so here we go
Image
I started installing some of the lights and figure out all the wiring that was ran and identifying what wires were what and tested to make sure that when I enclosed the outer skin that I didn't put a staple through them.

Next up was I ordered my door hinges and installed the passenger side door. It took a little finesse but I think it'll be ok
Image
The door latch was advertised as 1 1/4"-1 1/2" door thickness but their not so I had to mitigate the fitting a little and this is what it took
Image
And on another note I have been working on my a/c system and its not going so good it might get left behind I have another go around at it and if that don't work it's getting scratched off the list!i also was able to order some trim for the door and hatch so I can work on getting that done well see how it goes. But I won't get it til Monday and I have to go to Texas Tuesday through Thursday so I won't be able to do much til the weekend. As always more to come later  til the next time.

Their not bad to install just use spacers all around your door to make sure your gap is even all the way around
