Wonder How These Would Work as Fenders

Maybe use some spacers so the lid would pivot like normal. Maybe put them on opposite sides so the lids would open outward to become small shelves. Anybody already think of this?

Might be expensive. You would need 4 of them for the whole trailer. They would have to be a little apart from each other so the lids wouldn't interfere with each other. You would have to fill the gap between them with something. Also the front one might interfere with you getting in and out of your door.

Might look great on one of these Big off road teardrops. You don’t need 4, just 2. One on each side with the tool box area behind the wheel. All you need is some diamond plate that matches mounted under the half arch area and then bent to the appropriate angle to make the front part of the fender. I believe those are even made for left and right sides of truck beds. I like the ones with the shallow box on top and pull out draws facing backwards. Google images WHEEL WELL TOOLBOX

I with junkboy, just add a appropriate panel to have full enclosure of tire and you have real "working" fender...

Nail on the head. Can't do the four because the doors are on the other side of the wheels, so the matching diamond plate was what I was thinking...

How about you buy two of those and one diamond plate jeep fender of the appropriate size, saw the jeep fender in half, and bolt the halves to each wheel well box to finish off the full wheel well?

Looks like a splendid idea, but how much do they weigh? I'd do a scale drawing of tear and box to see if it would look right.

The only thing to sort out would be matching the the lip of the fender, since the box has no lip. Could probably just taper the lips and file them smooth and it would look pretty good.
