Vinyl wrapping plywood

Postby grantstew8 » Fri Jun 14, 2013 3:49 am

Rather than aluminium I was considering a vinyl wrap. The ply will need to be prepared: filled and painted. Has anyone any experience with vinyl wrap?

(Search for "air free" vinyl on the bay) it's about slightly less than Al. but easier to cut and work with.

Thanks

Hi,

I have not, but just looked it up.

Sounds like a good product, as application goes, but at least the site I looked over, indicates a pretty short life span if used outdoors?

Thanks for the response:
I'll check with the supplier, it's designed for vehicle modifications so I'd assumed it had a long life.
Thinking about it, I suppose if it lasts 5 or 10 years that a long time for vinyl, Aluminium will out last it every time.....
