Gage comes under fair use, not making a profit.

Wow. You have some great pins! Saw and pinned one that makes me want to paint my car in a similar fashion

Feel free to check out my boards for ideas. I have one for trailer ideas and one for trailers:

Gage it's a good point you make about copyright. The idea behind the Pinterest website is people make virtual "Pin" boards, basically bulletin boards of images they see and like on the internet. The whole thing is virtual and of no monetary value which is why the fair use applies.

In most instances readers on the Pinterest site have the option to click on an image they like and it will take them to the original source of where the photo was put on the internet. So there's a huge benefit to site owners who want new customers/visitors/readers. As a website/blog owner I can vouch that I love when people pin my photos to Pinterest because it's literally driven thousands of new readers to my blog.

Pinterest does give site owners the option to have their images removed if they don't want their images shared in this fashion. Believe it or not for some people too much traffic to their site is considered a negative because they have to pay overage fees on their web hosting plan or upgrade their hosting plan package so they'd rather keep visitors to a minimum.

It was just a question and I said SOME not all. I could care less. I just know some are from a web page that the owner gets a little hostile when his pictures are put on someone else page without his permission. Like I said, I could care less. Tell you all what. I'll just go up and delete the question so everyone will be happy.

Apologies Gage. I didn't mean to offend you but clearly I did. I didn't think you thought it was a big deal, I just thought the information about Pinterest might be helpful to others who would read the thread as the site is fairly new and was in the news last year specifically because of the copyright implications.

Again, sorry to imply I thought you meant something you didn't.

I think the Pin thingy is a stupid idea. If too many People pin the photo from another pin, and again , and again the information about the picture get lost. It is nothing more than someone collection for random photo off the net. No real help for anyone else but them.

Not me. I just collecto the picture on my own HD Over 4216 photos and 923 Meg. Haha I got to many. :(

Mea Culpa
To design my teardrop I used images I collected online and there are some stunning ideas kicking around. Like this forum, I thought perhaps others in an early stage of design would find it useful. rather than hunting for the same images on a search engine. I constantly referred to the photos when working on CAD.
Obviously to the forum members who have built their own may find a passing interest or lack of interest seeing other teardrops.
If there are any images that cause irritation, I'll take them off, just let me know.

Thanks for the help on my other questions and for the warm welcome. I'm a newbie.

Gage, your statement wasn't offensive and you only stated it so grantstew8 wouldn't have any unexpected problems.
No harm, no foul....Not a problem.
