Is anyone camping this 4th of July? Building? Partying?

We are partying! :D

We are ready!

Happy Independence Day! Besides celebrating the sacrifice others made for our freedom, this day also has the distinction of having the largest concentration of "hold my beer" incidents. Be safe folks and remember where we came from.

Headed out soon to hopefully find a campsite :? Without a reservation, or more likely, dispersed camping (boondocking) in the cool forests of high elevation northern California. :wine: :fan: :vroom: :woohoo: :sweaty:

Building and cooking. First Dutch oven meal on the grill. The mysterious package to the right of the DO is garlic/ginger meatloaf.

Happy 4th. I stay home on the fourth because of possible fire happenings, especially in this triple digit heat wave that we are having. We're breaking heat wave records, out here in the West.

I'm spending my day, huddled over a camping book, picking out campgrounds that might work for a disabled friend. They bought an RV to make life easier but are having trouble finding campgrounds that are okay to go to. The campgrounds have to be wheelchair accessible, have electrical hookups, and no wood fires and have something, nearby, to do or see. They don't want to go to the typical RV "Parking Lot". Looking on the Internet for something like that will make a person go dizzy. So far, not counting KOA's and camp clubs, I've researched nearly all the campgrounds in Northern California, roughly 700 campgrounds, and listed 27 on a spreadsheet that are acceptable and my friend is thrilled at that; can hardly wait to see what I have found. When I finish this, I think I will be a happy camper, too! :)
