Teardrop Convention in Minden?

So I live in a small town in Nebraska called Minden. Apparently there is a big teardrop convention here. Does anyone have any info on it?

I did a search and found a gathering back in 2011 called the International Teardrop Gathering... http://itg.teardrops.net/

Teardrops.net is Grant Whipp's website, and he has a calendar of events on there. I don't see any upcoming events located in Minden though. Some of the larger gatherings are only held every few years. Some are held every year.

Pioneer Village where I think they usually have it has the date for the Teardrop Gathering as 29 June 2013. Here is the link! Is it over?

Yep, there use to be a Gathering there every other year with the first one being in 2005. There has been four held at Pioneer Village. There were 129 teardrops at the first one with 53 of them coming from California. It doesn't look like there will be anymore because of the lack of interest.

In lieu of the ITG which would have been this summer in Minden, I believe that this event is sort of taking it's place. Here's a link to it. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52566 I have done Minden 2x and for us Left Coasters, it's a long haul and gas is much more expensive now. I kinda hoped someone would cook up something up in the Black Hills. Doug

Doug, I'd LOVE to do a trip to the Black Hills! It's only 650 miles from me and would be a fun trip.
