Marked out the outline of the AC on the wall ... should be a quick framing job ... By measuring the depth of the unit , found we have to keep the inner face of the AC as close to the foam wall as possible , because there’s still 3.5” of foam on the other side , which may block off the side and top vents by about 25% ...

although we could make the outer hole bigger by a degree to accommodate the vents ... Then cover the whole thing with a door on the outside ...

Possibly as something as simple as a 1/4” plywood plate glued to the foam that the AC slips in , with a bit of framing on the inside ??? Strange , but that might work ..

The AC unit still basically sitting on the floor ... or close to it ...
