This was Lum's (my Springer Spaniel) first trip to the Horns. He did great. It only took him one try to learn that moose don't have a sense of humor. I camped alone a few nights and had company the other nights. One friend brought his 28 foot camper over for a while. For me, this trip is about de-stressing. I don't schedule or plan much. My only constants were heading out near first ligh and last light for photo opps. I'm always the camp cook which I like. It gets me out of doing the dishes so I can slip out and find elk or moose.
I was very comfortable in my teardrop! Read a couple of books and I had lots of movies on my iPad and used a Jawbone external speaker for sound. I used the lights for an hour or more each night and also ran the fan most nights. I never ran out of battery charge in 11 nights. It's about an hour and 45 minute round trip to get to a spot where I can get cell service so that was infrequent. I also charged my iPad and camera batteries in the teardrop. I found very few items that I need to add to my kit and quite a few I could leave at home. All in all a great trip! I'll go over at least twice more this year for 3 or 4 nights. Looking forward to it. I added a lot of pictures to my gallery. These are some of my favorites.

This is the ridge that overlooks my camping spot. Not many cars, roads or people. If you look closely you can see my teardrop near my buddies 28 footer.

(For some reason my pictures are getting cropped on here. Not sure why.)
