I also saw this Idea. I tried it in my back yard. It was fun and it did work. Its kind of a novlety. Not something you can depend on for cooking at a camp.

Swedish fire log. I've played with them, cool idea, burns for a long time. We made one when it was snowing before not knowing that they burn for so long. Good heat off them for just a little warm up.

We tried that once at the Gunslinger gathering. Didn't cook on it but it was pretty cool and burned a long time.

Know guys that use that all the time in the bush. They dump a little mixed fuel on it too.
