Howdy folks

Hi everyone!
I found this site a while back, whilst researching teardrop campers, intent on building one. My design evolved over time and I ended up with a covered-wagon-style camper instead, attracted to the creative outlet it promises, style-wise. That said some friends are pressuring me into taking commission and building them a teardrop so I may end up building one anyway! I do love them.

I've started a blog describing the build since much of my family and friends are scattered around the world, its a great way of letting them know what I am up to:

I'm at a fairly critical stage, maybe 70% of the way through. Most of the big architectural work is complete, but I'm not really ready to start on the artistic side of things just yet, there's still so much to do. Its hard to stay motivated at this point, but I have a hard deadline mid-august, as we are traveling up to Maine for a wedding and will be camping out for two nights.

More about me: I am 40 years old, live in New England (USA) but grew up in Australia. I have some prior build experience as I restored a small sailboat about ten years ago, when I learned to hate carpentry on compound curves and promised I'd never make anything curved again!

Nice looking wagon. Only a few more weeks left on that deadline.
At least get it water tight and you’ll be set to go.

Welcome, just saw this , Great build. You certainly do have talent. I am impressed now I do have a question Are the walls fabrick or is that what you put on the inside? To harden up if it is just fabric try a piece of scrap and put some glue(tightbond II) or just see if wood glue will work that would keep it from, sagging.

Thanks Guys!
Mary: that's not a bad idea. The fabric is installed as an inner most layer, for decoration. Its actually not that bad, its just not as taut as it was when I first stretched it out. Now it has more of a pillowy look. I'll try something when I get a chance to polish the interior, for now the deadline has snuck up on me - being water-proof is more important suddenly!

My goal is to have waterproof front face and doors by the end of the week. I think 'finishing' the front face will go a long way to making it feel like real progress.
