Newbie from Sandy Eggo, CA

[Self Contained]

Hi All,

I am a newbie from SoCal. I've been camping/rv'ing all my adult life. Started in tents, then 21' travel trailer, then 31' RV. I'm a DIY kinda guy, jack of some trades - master of absolutely none. My ultimate goal in using this site is to build some type of fully self-contained removable camping "pod" to load/unload into my 6'x12' utility trailer. I plan on looking around the site for a few months before I dive in. I hope to learn a lot from you guys. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. I recommend you read the build threads and perhaps the foamie section. If you want it light then you may want to read that section too. Good luck!

It's OK, Self-contained, you can really tell us your name. It makes it easier to converse, in the event you are really serious about getting involved in building a unit, similar to what you have described. If you have a few hours to spend, head on up the I-15 to Wildomar, and we can talk camping trailer talk. I am probalby only 70 miles North of you, so come on by, and we'll swap camping lies.
